As a Christian community, Effectual House of Praise is committed to providing access to comprehensive social services for individuals and families experiencing economic and social crisis. Guided by our faith and compassion, we strive to uplift those in need and help restore stability, dignity, and hope within our community.

OUTREACH

Effectual House of Praise provides access to comprehensive social services for individuals and families experiencing economic and social crisis. Our mission is to empower those in need within our community to better support and nurture themselves and their loved ones.

Through our Social Services programs, individuals may receive referrals to job training programs, employment agencies, immigration assistance, and other supportive services. We also provide guidance and referrals for those seeking public assistance, including SNAP (Food Stamps) and Medicaid.

Food Supply Box

Food Pantry

The Pantry distributes food Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
We recommend arriving by 12:30 PM.

Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted every day the church building is open. Most needed items include:

  • Protein-rich foods: peanut butter, canned tuna

  • Staples: cereal, pasta, rice, soups, beans

Please no glass bottles.

Clothing Distribution & Donations

Free casual clothing and professional attire are available to individuals who are registered with our Food Pantry.

The Clothing Distribution Office is open for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis:

  • Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Professional attire is available by referral and appointment only:

  • Thursdays: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

 

Clothing donations are accepted:

  • Monday through Sunday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Please note: Donations are not accepted on holidays.

We kindly ask that all donated items be clean, safe, and in good usable condition.
Please refrain from donating clothing that is dirty, torn, stained, excessively worn, or otherwise in poor condition. Our goal is to provide recipients with clothing that restores dignity and confidence.

Direct Aid

Our Direct Aid Program provides financial assistance to individuals and families facing urgent emergencies that could result in homelessness or utility shutoffs.

Emergency needs addressed may include:

  • Shelter and housing support

  • Clothing and food

  • Utilities (gas, electric, and phone)

  • Transportation assistance

  • Storage fees

  • Medical assistance

Our goal is to stabilize families during times of crisis and help restore security and hope.

Educational Programs

We also offer educational and vocational training programs designed to equip individuals with practical skills and pathways to sustainable employment. These programs include Home Health Aide (HHA) certification, Barbering, Tailoring, and Dressmaking, empowering participants to build careers, increase financial stability, and better support themselves and their families.
